Ascent Solar Technologies PV modules will literally be travelling through the countryside as a result from its signed distribution agreement with DisaSolar, a subsidiary of Megamark/DisaTech Group. DisaSolar will distribute Ascent’s thin-film CIGS modules for use in off-grid projects, such as incorporating the solar panels into passenger train roofs (as pictured) and commercial signage structures. DisaSolar and Ascent Solar recently saw the successful completion of combining PV modules into train rooftops thanks to their relationship with French regional rail company SNCF.
DisaSolar President Stephane Poughon stated, “Ascent Solar has a flexible, light-weight, CIGS solar module technology that is uniquely qualified to open new opportunities in everyday power generation. We are pleased to distribute and promote high-quality Ascent Solar products in France. Leveraging the expertise of Megamark/DisaTech Group combined with the quality and performance of Ascent Solar products, DisaSolar aims to quickly become a leading French provider of innovative integrated solar products.”
