Developers Baywa r.e. and Solairedirect have separately announced €228 million (US$264 million) in financing for French PV projects.
Solairedirect said that it had completed efforts in the latter part of 2014 to arrange financing for 13 solar farms totalling 136.8MW. The €168 million (US$194 million) – provided by institutions including BlackRock, Capital stage and KGAL – will be used to build solar farms in three southern regions of France.

Baywa r.e. has simultaneously announced €60 million (US$70 million) of funding from HSH Nordbank. The funds are for six ground-mounted projects in south west France with a capacity of 57.7MW. The portfolio will be sold to Allianz Global Investors once completed.
France is undergoing a PV comeback with the government promising to bolster the small-scale feed-in tariff and announcing a new 400MW tender for projects over 250kW in November last year.
