Belectric has been named as the long-term service provider for the preventive and corrective maintenance of a 53.5MW PV pipeline in the US.

The PV projects are located in Maryland, Washington DC, Indiana, Michigan and New Jersey and are comprised of both commercial and utility scale ground mounted solar plants, as well as rooftop and carport PV plants.

Indiana-based Inovateus Solar will be the site manager of the portfolio throughout the Midwest and Northeast, while also holding a separate contract for plants around Washington DC and Maryland.

With the addition of these projects, Belectric is operating and maintaining a PV portfolio with an installed capacity of 138MW in the US.

Ingo Alphéus, CEO of Belectric Solar & Battery GmbH, said: “We are pleased that these two long-term contracts have been awarded to Belectric. Including these new projects and additions to our portfolio in India, Germany and Italy, our global operations & maintenance teams are managing around 1.7GW now.”

Matthew Lusk, Belectric’s Director of Business Development and Operations in the US, added: “We offer operations & maintenance services as a one-stop shop, not only for state-of-the-art power plants but also for older ones. To maintain the portfolios as service provider is an excellent starting point for the expansion into the midwest and New Jersey as well as for further growth in the Mid-Atlantic region.”
