Belectric Trading and Solar Frontier have entered into a three-year agreement where Belectric will sell and install Solar Frontier’s CIS modules at a volume in the three-digit megawatt range. The announcement comes on the heels of a double-digit megawatt distribution deal signed with Balticsolar late last month.
The CIS modules will be chiefly manufactured at Solar Frontier’s new facility in Miyazaki, Japan. No financial details on the contract with Belectric Trading were given. “Our visit of the gigawatt-scale production facilities in Miyazaki, Japan, exceeded all our expectations and we are convinced that Solar Frontier’s CIS modules are ideal for our clients,” said Martin Zembsch, managing director of Belectric Trading Germany.
“I am very pleased that after recently signing agreements with two global companies, we are collaborating with Belectric Trading, the world’s largest solar EPC provider,” said Wolfgang Lange, managing director of Solar Frontier Europe. “Belectric Trading is an important strategic partner in our European expansion strategy with an outstanding expertise and track record. This contract is the start of a long-term cooperation and will initially focus on distribution with a volume in the three-digit range over three years.”
