Bella Energy has completed a 1.65MW PV installation, the company has announced. The rooftop installation is mounted onto the roof of the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City and currently the biggest PV installation in the state of Utah.
The array, financed partly by public and private capital and partly by grants and bonds, is equipped with 6,006 PV modules and is expected to have an output of 2.3million kWh per year. Construction commenced in December 2001 and the project was finished within six months.
“This is a monumental achievement by all parties involved,” Jim Welch, CEO of Bella Energy commented. “Building a project of this scale in Utah is a wonderful accomplishment resulting from the hard work of countless people. We'd like to thank everyone involved in the project for all their efforts. Bella Energy looks forward to continuing to develop other large scale projects, helping people and organizations save money in Utah, across the United States, and around the world.”
