US-based PV installer, Borrego Solar Systems has signed a deal with LG Electronics, which will see the Korean manufacturer supply 24MW of its ‘Mono X’ series PV modules.
The new supply deal, which runs through 2015, will include the supply of LG’s led by high-performance ‘Mono X NeON’ modules. Borrego Solar is targeting the commercial sector with the modules.
Mike Hall, CEO at Borrego Solar said, “This agreement allows us to meet rising commercial market demand for top-tier, high-efficiency modules – with the added benefit of not being subject to Commerce Department tariffs on Chinese modules – enabling us to maximize return on investment for our customers and provide the best quality and care throughout a system's lifetime.”
Borrego Solar said it had already deployed LG’s Mono X modules at San Diego Airport as well as at municipal landfill projects in Massachusetts.
