Manufacturer Canadian Solar has been ranked 176th by professional service organisation Deloitte & Touche in its 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences or clean technology companies ranking fors North America.
The list, known as the Technology Fast 500, ranked both public and private companies in North America. Companies were selected based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth from 2007 to 2011 and were eligible for recognition as long as they owned proprietary intellectual property or technology that was sold to customers in products that generated a majority of a its operating revenues.
Deloitte said that the 2012 Technology Fast 500 companies saw revenue growth ranging from 128% to 279,684% between 2007 to 2011, with an average growth of 2,774%.
