Continuing the steady relationship with Canadian Solar as module supplier, Eosol Energie Nouvelles has placed an order for 5.1MW of Canadian Solar’s modules for use in its ground-mounted solar plant in La Genetouze, south-west France. Eosol has used the company’s solar modules to equip several megawatts' worth of solar power plants in France to date, including the 10.7MW plant in Saint-Leger and the 8MW plant in Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Aquitaine.
A total of 21,560 solar modules have been installed on the 89,300m2 plant, dubbed “Le Petit Chataignier”, which was inaugurated on September 22, 2011. Installation of the plant took only five months – a record for a project of its size, according to the company’s official announcement.
The plant was completed with the input of TSK, 3E, a technical construction auditor, BIOTOPE for ecological engineering and biodiversity management, ERDF as electric line constructor and Credit Agricole.
“Canadian Solar has proven to be an excellent partner with its high quality modules and its efficient customer service for our previous projects in France,” commented M. Bruno Bernal, Eosol Group’s president. “That's why we logically selected them to become our partner for this important and strategic project in La Genetouze and we plan to extend our successful cooperation.”
