Cenergy Power has finished work on a 272kW PV system for Live Oak Farms in California. The roof-mounted system covers two of the pepper farm’s buildings and will generate 370,000 kWh of electricity annually.
“Sustainability has been a priority for Live Oak Farms ever since our first harvest,” said Bob Giampaoli, managing partner of Live Oak Farms. “From our drip system irrigations, to our minimal use of soil fumigants in our fields and now through the recent installation of our solar power system, we feel we are doing our best to reduce our carbon footprint.”
As part of the contract, Cenergy Power will provide a 10-year operations and maintenance guarantee, which will include touch-free panel cleanings and system repairs. The system will start providing returns on the initial investment during its fourth year of operation.
