Clenergy, a manufacturer of mounting systems, has won an order to deliver its mounting system for installation at a 20MW solar project in Awati, Xinjiang Aksu, China.
As part of the contract, Clenergy delivered its ground-mounted solution which incorporates an innovative support structure. According to the company, the solution reduces the system’s weight and costs while enhancing installation efficiency. In addition, high-quality C-steel with a special surface coating improves durability. The company adds that the structure and high-quality materials enable the system to withstand the severe local environment in the Chinese high-altitude desert.
“Clenergy’s superior engineering helped us reduce our installation costs, while the robust technical and service support gave added confidence in working with Clenergy in the long term. It’s a win-win,” said Mr. Wang, EPC Project Manager of the 20MW Awati project.
The order represents the company’s second contract in the Xinjiang Aksu region after it won a bid last autumn to deliver its mounting solution for a 30MW PV project in Alar.
The two projects are being implemented by an unnamed renewable energy developer in collaboration with two unnamed Chinese EPC companies. The Alar project became operational on 18 January while the Awati project is currently under construction.
