Conergy USA has finished work on a 230kW solar system for the world’s largest carrot producer, Grimmway Enterprises. Over 1,000 modules make up the ground-mounted system, which will help reduce the electricity bill of farm in Arvin, California by 50%.
“We are very happy to support the green path of Grimmway Enterprises,” Conergy’s project development manager, David Vincent, said. “Now, Grimmway avoids the emission of greenhouse gases thanks to the Conergy solar plant. We are both extremely proud and are pleased that both growers and customers will benefit from the greening of Grimmway carrots.”
“They are as committed to quality standards and environmental sustainability as we are and that’s one of the reasons we choose Conergy as a partner. We were also very happy with the general contractor, SC Anderson Inc., and due to their professional attitude, attention to detail and expertise, the solar plant was completed on time and now produces clean energy from our beautiful Californian sun,” a Grimmway spokesperson added.
