China’s PV standards body has formed a partnership with an international testing and certification body as it looks to improve services for Chinese manufacturers.
The CSA Group, which addresses safety, sustainability and certification, will formalise its collaboration with China's National Centre of Supervision and Inspection on Solar Photovoltaic Products Quality (CPVT).
“With the rapid growth of global alternative energy industry, the CSA Group has sought alliances that would provide our customers in China with comprehensive, sophisticated and innovative localised testing and certification services for global markets,” said Ash Sahi, president and CEO, CSA Group.
“CSA Group's business affiliations are always considered within the context of how we can better serve our customers in an increasingly global business environment,” said Sahi.
CSA Group's PV laboratory in Kunshan and CPVT's integrated PV testing laboratory in WuXi are both surrounded by China's PV industry centres such as Suzhou and Changzhou. The pair claims they can provide full range of localised PV testing and certification services to Chinese customers with greater efficiency and convenience.
The CSA Group has partnerships with a number of testing facilites including the Fraunhofer Institute.
