DayStar Technologies announced that, effective immediately, Richard C. Green is an independent director of the board of directors for the company. He brings over 30 years in the energy industry to his new position, serving as chairman and CEO of Aquila Corporation for 20 years. DayStar looks forward to Green using his proven leadership abilities to further the company.

In addition to his position at DayStar, Green serves as chairman of Midwest Research Institute (MRI) and serves on the board for the Alliance for Sustainable Energy that operates the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for the US Department of Energy. He is on the general partner’s advisory board for Hudson Clean Energy Partners and was founder of The Calvin Group.
Green graduated from Southern Methodist University and is a member of the board for the Hall Family Foundation, a trustee for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Washington DC based Urban Institute.
