Bank-held equipment finance company Key Equipment Finance has named Doug Beebe as vice president of energy finance. This role will see Beebe work on the investment company’s cleantech portfolio to identify, develop and close energy equipment finance and leasing transactions, with a close focus on the PV market. He has over 20 years of experience in the financing sector, and has been active in the solar industry for several years.
Beebe joins Key Equipment Finance from his former role developing solar businesses for Deutsche Leasing USA, the US subsidiary of a German equipment leasing company. He spent six years in field sales, management and vendor finance program management at CitiCapital Construction Equipment Finance, which was acquired by GE Capital in 2008. Beebe also spent a 12-year stint with GE, moving from GE Electrical Distribution and Control to GE Plastics, and on to GE Capital where he performed direct sales, distribution sales, national account management and operations.
A member of the board of directors of the Georgia Solar Energy Association, he was recently named as chairman of the organization and is NABCEP Entry Level Certified in Solar Photovoltaic. Mr. Beebe has a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
