AEG Power Solutions, holding company of 3W, has announced that Bruce Brock, company CEO since 2005, will retire on August 1. Brock’s successor, Dr. Horst Kayser, has agreed to join the company with immediate effect and will assume the duties of CEO after the short transition period. Brock will continue to serve as a nonexecutive member of the board of directors.
Brock said, “I am pleased with the accomplishments and the new positioning of AEG Power Solutions as a leading company in the renewable energy industry during my tenure as chief executive officer. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Kayser join our dynamic company at a monumental time in our development. He has the combination of international management skills, perspective, experience and knowledge to continue with our company’s transformation.”
Kayser joins AEG from Kuka, where he most recently served as CEO. Kayser began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. working in Toronto, Canada and Frankfurt, Germany. He holds a doctor of business administration degree from the University of Mannheim (summa cum laude), a masters of public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a masters in electrical ngineering and business administration (dipl. wirtsch.-ing.) from Technical University of Darmstadt.
