Dr. Albert Lu joins Heraeus Photovoltaics from Neo Solar Power

Before joining Heraeus in 2016, he has held the position of Head of Process and Process Integration at Neo Solar Power in Taiwan.

Major metallization paste producer Heraeus Photovoltaics has announced that Dr. Albert Lu has joined the company as Global Head of Application Development from major merchant solar producer, Neo Solar Power.

Heraeus said that Dr. Lu would be responsible for leading a team to provide value added service solutions to PV customers.

“With an increasing complexity of customer requirements we see the need for a broad and refined portfolio of service offerings,” said Andreas Liebheit, head of Heraeus Photovoltaics. “With Dr. Lu’s technical track record and R&D experience, we have a leader who will enable us to create even greater value for the customers we serve. Our customers compete in a competitive and fast-changing industry, and Dr. Lu’s appointment will help us deliver to them the two most important factors for success: innovative products and proven technology expertise.”

Dr. Lu comes with a wealth of experience within the PV Industry, having spent the past eight years in leading positions in R&D and process engineering related fields in companies such as Eton Solar, Motech Solar and China Sunergy. Before joining Heraeus in 2016, he has held the position of Head of Process and Process Integration at Neo Solar Power in Taiwan. Dr. Lu holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in thin film solar cells and organic LEDs, gained at the University of Queensland, Australia.
