PV monitoring system manufacturer Draker is among a number of clean-tech companies chosen by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) as its 2013 ‘new energy pioneers’.
The award, run in conjunction with Ernst & Young, picks ten companies each year judged to be leaders in the field of clean energy technology.
Among the ten winners, Draker was the only company representing the PV industry. The US-based company manufactures and services PV monitoring system hardware and software used to optimise the output of solar installations.
Michael Liebreich, chief executive of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, said: “Tough times make for good entrepreneurs, and this is definitely what we are seeing in this year’s New Energy Pioneers.”
Gil Forer, Ernst & Young’s global cleantech leader, said “These entrepreneurs and companies represent the technology and business model innovation which will enable the transformation to a more resource efficient and low carbon economy. Congratulations to all of them.”
