EBRD mulls funds for another 48MW of solar in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan could be set for another 48MW of utility-scale solar capacity financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Indian developer ACME Cleantech Solutions has applied for a US$30 million loan towards the Gulshat project. The total estimated cost of the development is US$73 million.

ACME submitted an application for a 29MW project in August.

The country’s first utility-scale solar farm, the 50MW Burnoye Solar 1 could also be expanded with a second phase.
