Software solution company Cimetrix has appointed industry veteran Edward Grady as the newest member of its board of directors. Grady will take over for Alan Weber, who resigned from the board to serve as a Cimetrix employee. Grady is REEL Solar’s chairman and CEO and is a member of the board for Advanced Energy Industries, Electro Scientific Industries and Molecular Imprints.
Grady began his professional career as an engineer for Monsanto/MEMC, where he eventually worked his way up to becoming the company’s VP of worldwide sales. He has served as president and CEO of Brooks Automation, was the CEO of Micromask and worked as an executive at KLA-Tencor for its wafer inspection group, the inspection and metrology group and the analytic software group.
“We are delighted to have Ed Grady join the Cimetrix team. Ed brings a wealth of experience to Cimetrix that was gained during his career spanning over 30 years in the semiconductor capital equipment industry along with leadership roles in the development of solar and LED technologies,” said Bob Reback, president and CEO of Cimetrix. “Ed’s background will provide valuable insights and access to key industry participants as we continue to expand our business with new products and into adjacent markets that are expected to grow significantly over the coming decade.”
Grady graduated from Southern Illinois University with his BS in engineering and received his MBA from the University of Houston.
