ET Solar has joined PV Cycle in an effort to recycle its end-of-life PV modules. The PV Cycle company is dedicated to setting up voluntary take-back and recycling programs for PV modules that can no longer be used.
At present, PV modules generate clean and renewable energy for approximately 25 years. At the end of this commercial life, all valuable parts that can be recovered, such as glass, silicon and aluminum, are reused for new module production. The PV Cycle association has been developing robust plans to achieve these purposes with socially responsible PV companies joining its efforts.
“As a PV module manufacturer, we have the responsibility to maximize the benefits of our products to the environment. Via participating in PV Cycle’s waste management and recycling programs, ET Solar will be able to better achieve these goals,” said Dennis She, ET Solar’s VP and chief officer of global sales and marketing.
