Etrion has completed construction of its 2.6MW solar plant in Nettuno, Italy. The ground-based photovoltaic plant brings the company’s solar portfolio to a total of 49.8MW, with two further 5MW plants under construction.
Etrion’s CEO, Marco Northland said, “We are pleased to complete the Nettuno solar park ahead of schedule, and we look forward to finishing two additional parks shortly.”
Mostly financed by a €60 million loan from a trio of European banks, the Nettuno project was built by Phoenix Solar, and uses crystalline modules from Trina Solar. The plant is expected to generate 3.5 million kWh of electricity and €1 million in pre-tax earnings per year.
