Over the last few weeks, Etrion has been steadily completing solar installations, including a combined 4MW total of PV projects in Italy. Its latest completion, the 3.5MW Borgo Piave solar park, has helped the company reach 47MW in operational solar parks for 2010.
Marco Northland, Etrion's CEO, commented, “We are pleased to announce the completion of the Borgo Piave solar park in Italy. We are exiting 2010 with 47MW operational, 10MW under construction and 200MW of development pipeline.”
The Borgo Piave project is located in Lazio, Italy, and with its 3.5MW capacity is expected to generate over 5 million kilowatt hours of energy every year. Just like other Italy-based Etrion solar parks, Borgo Piave should be able to reap the benefits from the 2010 feed-in-tariff of €0.346 per kWh and a market price of around €0.08 per kWh.
This latest ground-mounted PV installation by Etrion was constructed by Phoenix Solar and utilized Trina Solar crystalline modules and fixed-tilt technology along with SMA inverters.
