Bystronic glass has indicated that this year’s EU PVSEC conference and exhibition should lead to new orders being placed with company, which include its new module sealing technology for copper-indium-gallium-diselenide (CIGS) and cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film panels.
“A firm order was placed with a number of customers expressing serious intentions to buy”, noted Richard Jakob, CEO Bystronic glass.
Bystronic glass also presented a new type of silicon module that it claimed attracted considerable public interest.
“The exhibition was an excellent platform to cultivate our client base. As our customers decision-makers were also among the trade fair visitors, we engaged in detail on the spot discussions,” said Tobias Neff, product manager solar from the Bystronic Lenhardt Technology Center as well as the photovoltaic TPA. “It became apparent that we are on the right track by developing the new module. Large solar companies have expressed their interest.”
