Lend Lease, a supplier of sustainable property solutions, via its project management and construction business, Bovis Lend Lease, has signed a supply agreement with First Solar for delivery 10MW of the company’s CdTe thin-film solar panels. The modules will be installed across Australia in Bovis’s various development sites.
“We are pleased to be working with First Solar, one of the leading solar companies, and to be entering the solar procurement market”, commented Tony Costantino, Bovis Lend Lease’s Australian CEO. “This relationship allows us to meet the growing demands in renewable energy for our clients and ensures that solar energy is a consideration on every project. We look forward to working together on future opportunities.”
Australia could be an ideal location for installation of First Solar’s panels, as they tend to show better performance results than other modules in high temperatures. Coupling this information with the high insolation rate of the country, this is a potentially lucrative move on the part of the Arizona-based company.
