Leading CdTe thin-film producer First Solar has made several internal management changes, including a new US regional president and chief operating officer (COO).
The company said in an SEC filing that it had appointed Philip Tymen de Jong as its new COO, reporting to CEO, James Hughes. Philip de Jong had only been appointed senior vice president, manufacturing & EPC in January 2015.
Georges J. Antoun has been appointed president, US, responsible for business development, project development and other sales in the US. Antoun had previously served as COO since joining First Solar in July 2012. He will also report to the CEO.
Joseph G. Kishkill has been appointed president, international and responsible for sales outside the US. Kishkill had served as chief commercial officer (CCO) since joining First Solar in September 2013.
CFO Mark Widmar is dropping his supplementary role as principal accounting officer. Bryan Schumaker, former vice president, corporate controller since December 2011 will become chief accounting officer.
