Hamburg-based investment firm Conetwork Erneuerbare Energien (CEE) has bought two ground-mounted solar systems in central Germany from Gehrlicher Solar. The two sites, which were commissioned in December, have a combined capacity of 11.4MW and are due to be completed in the coming weeks.
The larger of the systems is being built in the Lower Franconian town of Ebern and has a capacity of 7.1MW, while the second, in Rohr, Southern Thuringia, has a capacity of 4.3MW. Gehrlicher carried out engineering, procurement and construction services on both sites; modules from First Solar and Sunowe modules power the Ebern and Rohr systems respectively.
“We would like to continue the successful cooperation established with the six existing parks to realise further PV projects in the future.” Gehrlicher Solar CEO Klaus Gehrlicher said. “We are also very satisfied with the smooth negotiation process and look forward to transferring both solar parks to CEE.”
