Gehrlicher Solar has sold two solar parks near Villeneuve-sur-Lot, France, to White Owl Capital. The installations have capacities of 1.9MW and 2.6MW and will generate a combined total of 5.5 million kWh of electricity a year.
Both systems were completed ahead of schedule and are equipped with 59,520 First Solar modules, seven SMA inverters and Gehrlicher’s Gehrtec Base substructure. “With an annual electricity yield of approximately 5.5 million kWh the systems can provide around 1,600 three-person households with electricity,” Gehrlicher Solar France’s managing director, Wolfgang Rosenberg, said. “Despite changes in the legal framework we continue to see potential for solar energy in France. We will focus primarily on large area rooftop systems and wholesale.”
“We are pleased that we are already seeing a great performance of the plants. The high technical expertise of Gehrlicher Solar gives our investors a secure yet highly profitable investment. We are planning to promote the successful cooperation with Gehrlicher Solar in the future with further joint projects,” White Owl Capital CEO Tobias Pehle added.
