Germany’s Federal Network Agency has announced the first tender for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems.
The tender will take place in three annual rounds. Each round will be announced about eight weeks before its bid date on the Federal Network Agency’s website.
Jochen Homann, president of the Federal Network Agency, said: “The pilot process to tender for the promotion of photovoltaic ground-mounted systems, we propose a new chapter in the promotion of renewable energies. The promotion will be converted from a administratively fixed subsidy rate on competitively determined rates of support.
“The Federal Network Agency will pay close attention to the bidder to comply with the rules of the game, we are confident that the existing stakeholder diversity is reflected in the commandments.”
Investors can issue bids involving the first tender to the Federal Network Agency until 15 April. The order volume for the tender is 150MW, with the highest bid set at 11.29 cents per kWh.
