Chinese PV plant investor Goldpoly has announced that it will raise up to US$104.1 million from a new share issue.
In a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange, the company said it placed 480 million shares for sale at US$1.72 on Thursday. This represents a discount of just over 8.5% on the day’s starting share price of US$1.88.
Goldpoly said it would use the proceeds to fund further PV plant purchases.
It has already agreed deals for 580MW of solar plants this year in addition to announcing plans to invest in 500MW of capacity outside of its native China.
