PV Trackers has expanded its contracts with Granite Bay Energy to supply an additional 1MW of its 6.0DX dual-axis solar trackers, to be deployed in the first quarter of 2010. This add-on increases the company’s installations with Granite Bay to more than 2MW deployed in the greater Sacramento area.
“Granite Bay has been impressed with the ease of installation and reduced time to start generating solar electricity,” said Bill Taylor, CEO of Bend, OR-based PV Trackers. “The installations of our dual-axis tracker have generated a great deal of interest in our technology, and we look forward to a very busy 2010.”
The experienced PV Trackers team works closely with project developers and integrators like Granite Bay to maximize energy output and minimize costs, achieving a reported 30% reduction in the levelized cost of energy production through the use of its system. The company says its trackers provide an optimal solution for ground-mounted commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
