Concentrating photovoltaic company GreenVolts has named Keith Lambert as its new senior VP of operations. Lambert brings 20 years of general management, operations and engineering experience in diverse industries including minicomputers, networking, contract manufacturing, wireless infrastructure, and optical communications.
Lambert has managed production, logistics, and supply chain operations as both a business unit and operations GM. Most recently, he was the SVP of optical communications at JDSU, where he was responsible for defining and implementing the group’s operating strategy for a $600 million business unit with a staff of 3500. His previous work experiences include executive management positions at RadiSys, MSL (now Celestica), and 3Com.

GreenVolts has a power purchase agreement with Pacific Gas & Electric for a 2MW pilot facility in Northern California. The Fremont, CA-based company has raised nearly $45 million in venture capital, including $34 million as part of a Series B round in late 2008.
