GT Solar International has appointed Eric Mao-Teng Hsu as Country Manager for Taiwan. The position has been newly created to further business opportunities on the island.
“Eric is a seasoned professional with a significant amount of practical and leadership experience,” said Jeff Ford, GT Solar’s vice president and general manager, Asia. “We are extremely pleased that Eric has joined GT Solar, and look forward to his successes as he focuses on strengthening our customer relationships and broadening our presence in the Taiwanese market.”
Hsu most recently served as an account manager for Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, the largest supplier of ion implant equipment to the semiconductor industry. Previously, he was the service operation director/Asia service deputy director for Brooks Automation, a leading semiconductor equipment automation supplier. Hsu has also held positions of increasing responsibility at other companies, including AMPI, INTRACO Asia Taiwan, and KLA-Tencor. He earned a bachelor of computer science degree from International Technological University in Sunnyvale, CA.
