SVTC Technologies has selected its new president, Gunter Ziegenbalg, who will be directing the company’s growth in the global solar business and enhancing its PV manufacturing development facility. Ziegenbalg comes to SVTC after working in an executive position with Moncada Energy Group.
“Gunter has a strong track record of leadership and outstanding results during his career in both the solar and semiconductor industries,” said Bert Bruggeman, chief Executive officer of SVTC Technologies. “His experience in delivering new products in record times is noteworthy, and as leader of SVTC Solar he will play an important role in advancing new ideas for next generation photovoltaic manufacturing.”
Previous engagements include serving as the managing director of Signet Solar and an 18-year history in the semiconductor industry. Ziegenbalg was president of ZMD America and later executive VP of foundry operations at ZMD AG. He received his master’s degree in nuclear physics from the University of Technology in Dresden and his executive MBA from Pepperdine University.
