Laser equipment specialist 3D-Micromac has appointed Dr. Carsten Swiatkowski as its new CTO.
Dr. Swiatkowski spend almost 10-years at Hanwha Q CELLS and brings to the company more than 20 years' experience in laser technology, having graduating from the TU Berlin, he worked in the semiconductor industry for a number of years.
At Hanwha Q CELLS, Dr. Swiatkowski was responsible for the acquisition and implementation of new laser systems and wet benches, the transfer of technology to other production sites, and development and implementation of the technology roadmap for the associated cell manufacturing processes.
Dr. Swiatkowski will be responsible for the engineering and process development at 3D-Micromac.
Dr. Carsten Swiatkowski said, “I'm looking forward immensely to my new tasks and I believe that, particularly in the area of laser systems for photovoltaics and for the semiconductor industry, many opportunities exist in international markets, which we want to use even more intensively with the new customer and market direction.”
