Module manufacturer, Hanwha Solar One has signed a 50MW module supply deal for a project in Inner Mongolia.
Hanwha signed the agreement with Baotou Shansheng New Energy, a subsidiary of the Inner Mongolia Shanlu Energy Group.
The delivery of Hanwha’s modules began at the start of August and is to be complete by mid-September.
The modules will be installed at two ground mount projects in the capital of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot, and the largest industrial city of the region, Baotou, northern China.
Hanwha Solar One said there has been a surge in business opportunities since the third quarter of 2014, and is optimistic that market demand in China will continue to be substantial throughout 2014.
Also this week Hanwha SolarOne successfully supplied 2MW of its modules to the recently completed Ozkoyuncu Solar Enerji power plant in the Turkish province of Kayseri, Cappadocia.
