India’s NTPC tendering for hybrid wind and solar project at thermal plant

India’s largest utility, NTPC, has issued a tender for a 3.5MW wind and solar hybrid project to be located at its Kudgi Super Thermal Power Project in the state of Karnataka.

The coal-based power plant, which is under commissioning at various stages, is based at Kudgi village in Bijapur District and should have a 4GW capacity once complete.

The tender is for the development of the wind and solar project with 10 years of operations and maintenance included.

NTPC recently listed INR20 billion (US$300 million) Green Masala Bonds on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
