Bosch Solar Energy will present for the first time its crystalline and thin-film modules, now certified according to the UL 1703 standard, at this year’s Intersolar North America. Certification has now been issued for the modules by both Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) testing institutes. The Bosch Solar Module c-Si M 60 and Bosch Solar Module µm-Si also fulfil all California Energy Commission (CEC) requirements for energy efficiency and environmental compatibility.
“Certification according to UL 1703 stands for verified safety and confirms the top notch product features of our photovoltaic modules,” said executive vice president of sales Peter Schneidewind. “This represents an important milestone for introducing our crystalline and thin-film solar modules to the North American market, which will give our business in the USA and Canada a significant boost.”
Bosch will be showcasing the micromorphous thin-film module in combination with its mounting system, which was developed in cooperation with Bosch Rexroth and is also UL 1703 certified.
The new slide-in system enables the rapid and safe installation of the frameless thin-film solar modules by using tracks instead of the usual clamps. Bosch will also present its CIS thin-film modules which are designed for architecturally demanding PV solutions and facade installations.
