Last week’s Intersolar Europe 2011 exhibition in Munich proved to be a successful few days for SolarEdge, which secured orders totalling more than 15MW for its power optimisers in the Bavarian capital. Distribution and installation of these systems, which maximise system energy yields, will be carried out by leading PV integrators Hofbrueckl Solar, EME Energie Management Eberlein and SolConTec International.
“The combination of SolarEdge optimisation technology and Hofbrueckl Solar’s own highly efficient PV modules significantly enhances the energy output of solar power systems,” said Hofbrueckl Solar’s sales manager, Shano Mansuroglu. “The enthusiastic feedback by installers and roof owners alike paved the way to SolarEdge’s prominent position in our product portfolio.”
SolarEdge’s optimisers maximise return on investment through their module-level MPPT ensuring optimal energy yield, whilst also preventing power loss due to mismatch, shading and uneven module aging. The optimisers real-time, remote module-level PV monitoring automatically detects and diagnoses underperforming modules and its built-in SafeDC feature improves safety by automatically turning off DC voltage during installation, maintenance and fire-fighting
“This agreement marks a new milestone in our long-term partnership,” EME Energie managing director Olaf Nehm said. “I have known SolarEdge products for over three years and I’m excited to offer this leading photovoltaic technology to our customers.”
“As a professional designer and integrator of commercial and large scale PV fields, we especially value SolarEdge’s high tolerance to inter-row shading, and its fixed-string voltage ensuring a year-round optimal site design,” Peter Stiegler, SolConTec’s head of sales and purchasing added.
