SolarEdge Technologies PV inverters have qualified for use in US local, state and federal projects, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), and administered by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), of the US Department of Energy.
According to SolarEdge, its technology complies with a waiver of the Recovery Act ‘Buy American’ provision, which approves the use of inverters that permit optimal output of four or more types of modules per array connected to one inverter.
Currently there is no inverter-type product manufactured in the United States that is said to be EERE applicable to satisfy the needs of ARRA funding for such applications.
“Governmental projects can now benefit both from ARRA funding and from among the world’s most advanced photovoltaic technology,” said John Berdner, SolarEdge’s General Manager for North America.
SolarEdge is attending Intersolar North America, July 12-14, San Francisco, in Moscone West, Level 1, Booth no. 7359.
