Bloomberg has reported that JFE Holdings will develop six solar projects in Japan with a combined 40MW capacity.
Operations of the plants will begin in phases. Four plants will enter production next year, while the remaining projects are schedules to begin operation in April 2014 and January 2015, respectively. In a statement, the company noted that local utilities will have the choice to buy power from the plants; however, financial terms were not released.
The solar plants are to be constructed in the Mie, Hokkaido, Okayama, Miyagi, Tochigi and Shizuoka prefectures.
