Kyocera, in collaboration with Toyota Tsusho and Wakachiku Construction, will install a total of 675kW of PV systems at schools and other institutions in the Maldive islands, the company has announced. The systems constitute the largest PV project on the islands.
The Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) is funding the project for clean energy promotion in Malé. Kyocera has already installed 395kW of energy at five different locations in a first phase of construction using 1,896 of its modules. A further 280kW of installations will be equipped with approximately 1,344 modules in a second construction phase.
