Lasag, a subsidiary of Rofin-Baasel Lasertech, has appointed Andreas Ewald as its new managing director. Ewald, who started his new position at the Thun-based laser manufacturers on July 1, will primarily be charged with completing the integration of Lasag into the Rofin group.
“My primary objective is to conclude the integration of Lasag AG into the Rofin group successfully,” Ewald said. “The affiliation has unleashed significant new potential, such as an extensive global sales network, as well as the wide range of excellent Rofin technologies. These synergies allow us to work out new benefits for our customers.”
Rofin are similarly confident that the appointment of Ewald, who holds an MBA in industrial engineering and numerous years of experience within the electrical and laser engineering, will bring further success. “With Mr Ewald we are getting new competence on board for our Swiss daughter company and we are very much positive about the future tasks for our mutual success,” added Thomas Merk, Rofin Micro and Marking’s chief operating officer.
