Andreas Liebheit is joining the Germany-based silver PV paste manufacturer, Heraeus from his previous role of managing director for Hanwha Solar One.
Liebheit will join as an executive member as of 1 November to take over a global management role of Heraeus’ photovoltaic business unit mid January 2014.
Liebheit will be replacing Andy London, who is retiring in January 2014.
Previously Liebheit also held positions as vice president of Hanwha’s EMEA business sector; business unit manager for Solon Energy, and prior to this Liebheit worked in the semiconductor business for Siemens and Infineon after gaining a master’s degree in physics from Munich University.
Andy London has been with Heraeus for 40 years, specialising in thick film pastes and the electronics industry.
