Linde has now completed its annual supplier performance review across electronic materials providers, presenting the 2009 Linde Global Supplier Performance Award to BASF as its best performing supplier of the year.
“Suppliers play a critical role in our success. With enduring commitment, continuous quality improvement and cost efficiency in supporting our electronics business, such partnerships enable us to grow together and continue to lead in the global electronics market,” said Peter Owen, president of electronics at Linde Gases division.
Linde recognizes BASF for its contributions to its electronics business including products and services, enabling structured contingency planning through an additional ammonia supply plant and the expansion of their service network, mainly across Asia.
“Despite the challenges of the recent downturn, we have continued to receive excellent support from our suppliers. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize their efforts and show our appreciation,” said Andrew Lau, head of supply management for Linde’s electronic gases business.
