Monocrystalline PV manufacturer Longi Silicon has secured a CNY1.2 billion (US$189 million) order from China Minsheng New Energy (CMNE).
The deal, announced on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, is for monocrystalline modules. No timeline for the delivery of the modules has been announced.
In May CMNE announced a 1GW order with JinkoSolar as part of its efforts to establish itself as a major PV project owner and operator in China.
CMNE was founded by China Minsheng Investments (CMI) with an RMB8 billion (US$1.26 billion) warchest. The company’s five-year plan is to own and operate 20GW by 2020 with a total investment of RMB20 billion (US$3.15 billion).
