Veteran semiconductor and renewable energy financial analyst and frequent guest blogger at PV-Tech Mark W. Bachman has joined Avian Securities as a senior research analyst covering renewable technology stocks. Joining Bachman from Auriga USA is Robert Spandau as a senior research analyst within Avian's equity research platform into renewable energy.
Bachman has been actively covering the renewable energy sector since 2007, and was most recently a managing director at Auriga USA. Prior to Auriga, Mark spent six years as a Principal and senior equity analyst at Pacific Crest Securities where he covered both renewable energy technology and semiconductor capital equipment stocks starting in 2003.
Bachman started his Wall Street career as a sell-side research associate at Thomas Weisel Partners in 2000 covering semiconductor-related technologies. Prior industry experience includes positions at Wind River Systems and Intel Corporation. Mark holds a BSc in Finance from California State University, Sacramento, and an MBA from the University of Washington.
Robert Spandau has been actively researching the renewable energy sector since 2006, and was most recently publishing sell-side research at Auriga USA.
Before joining Auriga, Robert worked as a buy-side analyst at Susquehanna where he researched alternative energy and semiconductor technology stocks. His previous industry experience includes positions at TDK, Applied Materials, Schlumberger, and Genus; he also served as a nuclear power trained surface line officer in the United States Navy. Robert earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Academy.
