German renewable energy operator, MMB Clean Energy, has acquired three PV projects on the island of Sicily from US engineering firm Dresser-Rand.
The projects, which total 11MW in capacity, were connected to the grid in 2012.
“Due to the excellent location and the Dresser-Rand developed technical equipment of the park, we expect a return on investment of about 40% above the minimum requests of the return on investment stated in the prospectus,” said Eckhart Misera, CEO of MBB Clean Energy.
Covering an area of 77,680 square metres, the plants comprise 44,764 polycrystalline modules and produced in an energy yield of about 16 million kWh in 2012.
Dresser-Rand will continue to provide long-term operations and maintenance services for the plant.
