More management shuffling at Sunways

Both Mario Zen and Jürgen Frei have stepped down from the Sunways management board as the reshuffling of all senior positions continues.

Zen was the Chairman of the management board of Sunways for barely one month but will remain at the company as Vice President of Restructuring. Zen had been appointed from parent company, LDK Solar.

According to Sunways, Zen will focus on the ongoing restructuring of the company in light of the market conditions, which has seen a serious shakeup in the company with significant jobs losses.

Jürgen Frei, Member of the management board of Sunways has also has resigned from the board with immediate effect. According to the company, Frei will also remain in the role of vice president of sales and marketing.

The new Chairman of Sunways is Hoong Khoeng Cheong, who joined LDK Solar in 2011 Vice General Manager of LDK’s PV module business unit.

The company has also appointed another LDK executive Steve Huiyuan Zha to the management board and he will be the vice president in charge of finance.
