Taiwan-based Mosel Vitelic has signed a five-year contract to
receive multicrystalline solar wafers from LDK Solar Co., Ltd., that is
valued at approximately $190 million with delivery expected to start in
2008.

Mosel
Vitelic reportedly set aside $24 million for its first production ramp
of solar cell production in early 2007 and had an initial target
capacity of 30MW. The move into the solar market is deemed strategic as
the company stops manufacturing memory chips.
