Nautilus Solar Energy has appointed Brian Quinlan as its new executive vice president of development. Quinlan is to be based in Nautilus’ mid-Atlantic office where he will be responsible for project development in the US and Canada, and also for expanding this sector of the company into other worldwide markets.
In a career that has spanned 25 years, Quinlan has worked in a variety of roles in the power industry, including power plant operations, engineering, mergers and acquisitions, project development and financing, and he joins Nautilus from Lars Energy, where he had was managing director.
“Brian is an experienced, proven power project developer who will provide the expertise and leadership for Nautilus to take advantage of the incredible opportunities to develop, construct, own and operate wholesale solar projects, especially in the rapidly growing eastern United States,” Nautilus CEO Jim Rice said. “His entrepreneurial background fits in perfectly with our rapidly growing company.”
“I have worked with Jim Rice on a variety of different power projects over the last 15 years and have been working with the Nautilus Solar team for the last 16 months on a consulting basis so joining the team full time was a logical next step. These are exciting times in the solar industry and Nautilus Solar is well positioned as a leader in the market and I am pleased to have the opportunity to be a member of the team,” Quinlan added.
